Assistant – Scrap Management

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant to support our scrap management operations at a chemical plant in Gujarat. The role involves handling various types of plant scrap, ensuring safe and efficient processing, and maintaining accurate stock records.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, classify and bifurcate different types of scrap such as MS, HS, HDPE, electrical and plastic waste.
• Maintain and update stock records for all scrap categories.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and chemical plant regulations during scrap handling.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to optimize scrap flow.
• Prepare regular reports on scrap quantities and disposal activities.

Required profile

• B.Com graduate.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in scrap management or related inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of chemical plant operations and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment.
