Assistant Professor – Full‑time, Hubballi

About the role

The University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to join its academic staff in Hubballi. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, mentor students, and contribute to the institution’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions aligned with curriculum standards.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and professional development, including project supervision.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals or conferences, and secure research funding.
• Participate in curriculum design, assessment development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage in departmental meetings, academic committees, outreach activities and quality‑assurance processes.

Required profile

• Strong subject‑matter expertise in the relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, engage and mentor students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Research experience with a record of publications in reputable venues.
• Competence in curriculum design, assessment methods and use of learning management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Master’s degree in the field (PhD awarded or near completion preferred).
• Prior teaching or industry experience in higher education is an advantage.
• Commitment to ethical academic practices and continuous learning.
