About the role
The Assistant Manager – Purchase will support the pre‑opening team in planning and executing procurement strategies for hotel operations. This role ensures the hotel receives high‑quality products at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement plans for all hotel departments.
- Source, negotiate and secure contracts with vendors to obtain the best quality and price.
- Maintain and regularly update the vendor database, fostering strong supplier partnerships.
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and verify timely receipt of goods.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store and department heads to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Verify invoices, manage documentation, and coordinate with accounts for payments.
- Handle vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of procurement experience within hotels or the hospitality sector.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Good understanding of hotel operations and material requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
