About the role
BDO India is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Indirect Tax practice in Mumbai. The role involves delivering GST and other indirect tax advisory, compliance, and restructuring services to a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
- Manage engagements related to GST, Customs, FTP, and SEZ compliance.
- Provide tax advisory, restructuring, and appeals support.
- Execute end‑to‑end indirect tax compliance and coordinate approvals and registrations.
- Analyze and interpret provisions under the GST Act, Customs Act, and related rules.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Build internal networks to promote service line offerings.
Required profile
- CA Core qualification with a focus on Indirect Tax.
- 2.6 – 4.6 years of relevant experience in GST and indirect tax matters.
- Strong client‑facing skills and ability to gather technical information.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality client service.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of GST, Customs, and other indirect tax regulations.
- Experience with tax compliance, advisory, and restructuring engagements.
