Architect – Design

About the role

As part of WSP India's GCC Middle East business, the Architect – Design will work from our Noida/Bangalore/Mumbai office alongside environment colleagues and collaborate closely with the Landscape team based in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small projects, teams or tasks within larger architectural projects.
• Prepare technical information for infrastructure and development projects, including strategic and feasibility studies.
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs, general arrangement drawings, hard‑ and soft‑construction detailing, schedules and specifications to support planning applications, tenders and construction packages.
• Participate in regular meetings and provide accurate progress updates.
• Apply business standards and techniques to ensure quality and communicate risks promptly.
• Line‑manage and mentor junior team members.
• Support business development and bidding activities as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture (or recognised equivalent); postgraduate diploma or Master’s preferred.
• Fluent spoken English with strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
• Proven experience in project management and delivery within a consultancy or local government setting.
• Experience working collaboratively in a remote or distributed environment.
• Commercial awareness, strong time‑management and ability to support construction administration (RFIs, shop‑drawing review, site conditions).
• Solid knowledge of planting design, hardscape materials and construction detailing.
