Applied Biologist – Remote, $250 per task

About the role

We are looking for an Applied Biologist to work remotely on a task‑based contract. You will design and solve challenging biology problems that test the limits of large language models, providing detailed, step‑by‑step solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design biology problems aligned with LLM evaluation goals.
• Develop high‑quality, rigorous solutions with clear reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to refine problem types and benchmarks.
• Contribute to new evaluation benchmarks covering topics from early undergraduate to PhD level.
• Explain concepts using simple language, visuals, or simulations as needed.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations for AI evaluation workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field (or currently pursuing a PhD/Post‑doc).
• Strong research, analytical, and logical problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with reliable internet access.
