Android Developer

About the role

OLX India is seeking an experienced Android Developer to help millions of users connect and share goods and services through a secure, high‑quality mobile experience. You will join a cross‑functional team that blends machine learning, security, and user‑centric design to continuously improve the marketplace platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the quality, user experience and security of the Android application.
• Design, develop and test new product features in collaboration with Product and UX teams.
• Maintain and enhance the automated test suite and CI pipeline.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure a robust, scalable codebase.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to quickly adopt new technologies.
• Proficiency in Android SDK, multiple Android versions and RESTful API integration.
• Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, Material Design guidelines and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning and common open‑source Android libraries.
• Excellent object‑oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms and debugging abilities.
