Accounting & Reporting Analyst

About the role

As a seasoned finance professional, you will oversee the end‑to‑end integrity of financial reporting and month‑end closing processes while ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP standards. You will drive operational excellence through robust SOX compliance, continuous process improvements, and the delivery of high‑quality MIS to support management decision‑making. Beyond the numbers, you will act as a pivotal leader, mentoring a global team and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile balance‑sheet and bank accounts and follow up on open items.
• Ensure all accounting is compliant with US GAAP.
• Maintain effective controls to achieve high accuracy per internal guidelines.
• Execute intercompany transactions.
• Perform cash application and netting processes for ICO customers and vendors.
• Accurately work and post rule‑based journal entries.
• Close books of accounts in coordination with local teams and business units.
• Review and resolve audit queries promptly.
• Engage with local teams to align processes and resolve issues timely.
• Undertake assessment cycles for seamless movement from FI to PA module at month‑end.
• Perform all accounting activities according to defined SOPs.
• Review SOPs periodically and recommend changes in consultation with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SOX guidelines.
• Participate in standardisation, continuous improvement, and business partner initiatives.
• Provide prompt responses to local business queries.

Required profile

• B.Com or MBA qualification.
• Proficient knowledge of Indian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficient knowledge of Google Suite.
• Experience with SAP.
• Strong communication and people‑management abilities.
