Welding Automation Design Development Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Welding Automation Design Development Specialist to lead the creation of advanced welding automation solutions for our manufacturing facilities. The role combines expertise in robotic welding, CAD design, and industrial automation to drive efficiency and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop welding automation systems, including cobot and robotic welding cells.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models of fixtures, positioners, and welding layouts using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Creo.
• Prepare general arrangement (GA) drawings and bills of materials (BOM) for all projects.
• Integrate MIG and TIG welding applications into automated processes.
• Collaborate with robotics teams to program UR, YASKAWA, KUKA and FANUC robots for welding tasks.
• Lead industrial automation projects from concept through implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in welding automation and robotic welding systems.
• Strong background in 2D/3D CAD design for manufacturing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of welding fixtures, positioners and SPM development.
• Ability to produce GA drawings and accurate BOMs.
