Technical SEO Lead

About the role

Canva is looking for an International Technical SEO Lead to own the i18n technical SEO craft across all markets. You will define standards, build playbooks, coach specialists, and advise Country Leads on technical decisions that drive global growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain technical SEO standards, frameworks, and playbooks for international markets.
• Document what "technically excellent" means for i18n pages and implement quality controls.
• Identify systemic technical opportunities and risks across markets and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Stay at the forefront of technical SEO, including AI-era considerations, and translate emerging best practices into i18n guidance.
• Manage and coach a globally distributed team of Technical SEO Specialists, ensuring consistent execution.
• Serve as the primary technical SEO partner for SEO Country Leads worldwide.
• Own the relationship between i18n Technical SEO and Canva's Central (EN) Technical SEO team, translating global standards into local requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical SEO initiatives at an international scale.
• Strong ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentorship skills for distributed technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
