Senior Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

Lam India is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team in Bangalore. You will design and develop electrical and electro‑mechanical systems that improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce build cycle times, and ensure high‑quality tool delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop power distribution and control architecture for fixtures, outriggers, and test equipment.
• Lead design reviews and obtain cross‑functional buy‑in for new concepts.
• Provide technical leadership for sustaining engineering, including cable assembly schematics and mistake‑proofing designs.
• Create functional specifications for electrical/electro‑mechanical systems and power distribution components.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, schedules, and KPIs for quality and on‑time delivery.
• Resolve design‑related production issues during fixture and test equipment build processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Electronics & Communication.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in electro‑mechanical subsystems, power distribution, control systems, or industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of component selection for power distribution and control (MCBs, MCCBs, ELCBs, RCBOs, relays, contactors, SMPS, PLC modules, industrial sensors).
• Proven expertise in electrical system design from concept to implementation, including AC/DC power distribution boxes, power supplies, and PLC‑based control architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with cable harness design.
