Senior AWS MSK DevOps & Kafka Developer (Remote, Immediate)

About the role

We are seeking a senior AWS MSK DevOps and Kafka Developer to join a top multinational client on a remote basis. The role focuses on managing production‑grade MSK clusters, designing event‑streaming solutions, and ensuring high‑performance data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AWS MSK production clusters, including scaling, monitoring, and security hardening.
• Design and optimise event‑streaming architectures using Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect.
• Provision infrastructure with Java CDK (MSK clusters, VPCs, security groups).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for IaC deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6 years focused on AWS MSK DevOps and Kafka development.
• Strong expertise in core AWS services such as Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, and Security Hub.
• Hands‑on experience managing MSK clusters in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Kafka topics, producers, consumers, Streams, and Connect.
• Proficiency in Java CDK for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and IaC.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to join immediately.
