Purchase Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Purchase Accountant to join our design‑led manufacturing business in Trivandrum. The role will strengthen purchase accounting and vendor finance controls, ensuring compliance, cost visibility, and robust vendor management across our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end purchase accounting cycle, validating purchase orders, GRNs, invoices and ledger entries.
• Maintain timely expense booking, inventory reconciliation, accruals, provisions and purchase cut‑offs.
• Reconcile vendor accounts monthly, review contracts for financial risk, and ensure GST input‑credit and TDS statutory compliance.
• Manage vendor payment schedules, align cash flow and coordinate statutory filings.
• Prepare purchase analytics, cost reports and support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures.
• Liaise with internal and statutory auditors, maintain documentation readiness and strengthen SOPs.
• Drive ERP utilisation improvements, automate reconciliations and design scalable controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase accounting, vendor reconciliation or accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel reporting.
