Product Designer – Home Hardgoods

About the role

Reliance Retail is looking for an Executive Product Designer to lead the creation of home hardgoods. Based in Bengaluru, the role focuses on developing innovative product concepts for home decor and hard goods, using 3D modeling and Adobe Illustrator to translate market insights into tangible designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative product concepts for home hardgoods that meet quality and aesthetic standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (merchandising, engineering, marketing) to capture customer needs and turn them into design solutions.
• Produce detailed design specifications, renderings and prototypes to guide development.
• Conduct market research on trends and competitor products and integrate findings into design strategy.
• Work with manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility, cost‑effectiveness and scalability of designs.
• Participate in design reviews, provide feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain organized documentation of design projects for compliance and future reference.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product design for home hardgoods with a strong portfolio.
• Deep understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to translate customer insights and market research into innovative solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
