About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Sales India to lead the sales function for our plastic additives business across upstream polymer manufacturers and downstream converters, compounders and masterbatchers in India. The role focuses on driving volume and margin growth, expanding market presence and strengthening customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve volume and margin targets.
- Prospect, secure and expedite orders with existing and new accounts.
- Negotiate and conclude business contracts, including sales and distribution agreements.
- Identify and develop new markets, customers and applications.
- Address customer complaints and implement resolution measures.
- Conduct market intelligence studies, competitor analysis and trend reporting.
- Manage key accounts and distributors, including field visits, seminars and presentations.
- Provide timely responses on quality, technical applications and inquiries.
- Coordinate with functional teams to ensure product and service quality.
- Supply market data, sales forecasts and inventory feedback to support stock allocation.
- Organize product presentations, workshops, trade roadshows and arrange testing trials.
- Oversee credit management and ensure timely receivable payments.
- Prepare regular sales performance and other assigned reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales or commercial experience in the plastics industry.
- Proven track record in business development and account management.
- Strong understanding of plastic additives, applications and the plastics value chain.
- Ability to analyse market trends and develop actionable plans.
