Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

Lead Electrical Engineer at Jacobs, responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical designs for building and infrastructure projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Produce concept, FEED and detailed designs for electrical systems, including single‑line diagrams, layouts, cable schedules and interconnection schedules.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, HV/LV cables, UPS, batteries and capacitor banks.
• Develop technical specifications, data sheets and bulk material take‑offs for all electrical works.
• Review vendor drawings, conduct technical bid evaluations and ensure compliance with domestic and international energy efficiency and building codes.
• Monitor installation, resolve design issues on‑site and coordinate with project leads and clients.
• Attend client meetings to provide technical clarifications and support project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering for building and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience on datacenters, substations, hotels, hospitals, universities, high‑rises, malls and commercial buildings.
• Hands‑on knowledge of domestic and international energy efficiency and building codes; overseas project experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing workloads and communicate confidently with clients and foreign counterparts.
• Strong IT and communication skills.
