Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s high quality standards. Working closely with housekeeping staff and other hotel departments, the role coordinates daily cleaning activities and supports operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status for departing guests and communicate changes to the next shift.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve issues.
• Document and resolve room discrepancies with the Front Desk.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all company safety, security and housekeeping policies.
• Welcome guests, address service needs and assist guests with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift ≤ 55 lb unaided and >55 lb with assistance.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel and move carts over uneven surfaces for an entire shift.
• Basic computer literacy for entering and locating work‑related information.
