Deputy Manager - Payments - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and seeks a Deputy Manager to build and lead the operation in the Delhi‑Pitampura territory. You will be responsible for assembling a high‑performing team, driving QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, and growing merchant volume.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure their productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and lead QR, SB and POS/EDC deployment initiatives.
• Develop distribution channels, build relationships with key decision‑makers and expand business development activities.
• Maintain proper channel coverage through FOS mapping and manage partner relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and execute sales promotion ideas.
• Ensure process rigor, controllership and visibility at points of sale, including monthly store activation.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships and distribution management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
• Self‑starter with a passion for meeting retailers on the ground.
