About the role

The Customer Account Manager – HR/CR will be responsible for driving sales and revenue of flat steel products (hot roll and cold roll) across the retail segment in key Indian markets. You will work closely with distributors, plant teams and end‑customers to ensure high satisfaction and achieve commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue targets for flat products in assigned territories.
  • Manage credit control, collection planning and monthly sales forecasting.
  • Oversee inventory management for distributors and ensure timely product availability.
  • Handle customer complaints, resolve issues and continuously improve relationships.
  • Monitor market competition, pricing trends and provide intelligence to strengthen market positioning.
  • Coordinate product training for distributor sales teams to promote brand and product knowledge.
  • Drive distributor engagement through MoUs, exclusivity agreements and strategic partnership initiatives.

Required profile

  • MBA from a premier institute and an engineering degree.
  • 5‑10 years of front‑end sales experience with distributors, channels or retailers in B2B industries.
  • Strong functional knowledge of sales processes, negotiation and techno‑commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize and allocate finished goods across multiple plants.
