Commis – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Pune is seeking a motivated Commis to join its culinary team. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, supporting chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes that meet the brand’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing and measuring.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure correct temperatures.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues to the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.

Required skills
