Cloud DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & AWS

About the role

Worldline is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure that power high‑volume payment services. You will work on containerised workloads, serverless functions, and monitoring solutions that support thousands of concurrent WebSocket connections.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ECS services and Lambda functions using GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
• Manage Docker image creation, tagging, and deployment to Amazon ECR and ECS Fargate, implementing blue/green and rolling deployments.
• Provision and maintain environment‑specific infrastructure (dev, staging, prod) with Terraform or AWS CDK, ensuring parity across environments.
• Operate ECS autoscaling, ALB health checks, and target groups for WebSocket workloads.
• Handle secrets and configuration via AWS Secrets Manager and SSM Parameter Store.
• Create operational dashboards in CloudWatch and Grafana, and set up alerts and runbooks for critical incidents.
• Support load‑testing of 10k+ concurrent WebSocket connections and implement log aggregation with CloudWatch Logs Insights and OpenSearch.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud DevOps or related engineering roles.
• Strong automation mindset with Python or Bash scripting skills.
• Experience diagnosing issues in at least one application language (Node.js, Python, Go, or Java).
• Familiarity with 12‑factor app principles, semantic versioning, and clear operational documentation.
