CCTV Operator – Security Surveillance (South India)

About the role

The CCTV Operator will monitor live video feeds across multiple client sites in South India, ensuring the safety of people, property and critical infrastructure. Working from a control room, you will detect incidents in real time, support emergency response and maintain accurate records of all surveillance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multiple live camera feeds from control rooms covering entry points, lobbies, warehouses, data centres and other sensitive zones.
• Detect and promptly report suspicious activity, safety violations, fire alarms, loitering or unauthorized access.
• Maintain video evidence, follow chain‑of‑custody protocols and provide incident clips to relevant teams.
• Verify access‑control events, cross‑check identities and flag tailgating or forced entries.
• Ensure timely recording, secure storage and retrieval of CCTV footage according to site retention policies.
• Conduct regular equipment checks on cameras, DVR/NVRs, monitors, switches and power backups; coordinate maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain daily control‑room logs, shift handover notes and weekly security reports while respecting confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 12th pass; diploma in Electronics, IT or Computer Applications preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in CCTV operation or control‑room environments, preferably in malls, tech parks, industrial plants, hospitals or logistics hubs.
• Age between 21 and 45 years.
• Working knowledge of English and a regional language (e.g., Kannada).

Required skills

• CCTV operation and video surveillance monitoring.
• Proficiency with DVR/NVR systems and video management software.
• Access‑control system integration (turnstiles, biometric readers, boom barriers).
• Basic equipment maintenance for cameras, monitors, switches and power backups.
• Video archiving, retrieval and log‑book management.
