About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Business Operations Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to act as the production‑readiness steward for its products. In this role you will ensure platform stability, support developers during the build phase, and embed operational best practices across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain platform health and stability as the production‑readiness steward.
• Collaborate with developers to embed operational design, automation, capacity planning, and monitoring into new applications.
• Drive fault‑tolerant, scalable product architecture and enforce operations standards.
• Lead daily triage, root‑cause analysis, and blameless post‑mortems to understand business impact.
• Engage early in the development lifecycle to proactively manage production and change activities.
• Coordinate risk management, compliance, and mitigation across all environments.
• Provide continuous feedback to align product and customer priorities with operational needs.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of production readiness and operational standards.
• Experience working with development teams to embed reliability practices.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and lead post‑mortem reviews.
• Familiarity with risk management, compliance, and change management processes.
