Associate – KYC/AML – FinCrime COE Advisory (Bangalore)

About the role

PWC is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Financial Crime Compliance Centre of Excellence in Bangalore. You will work within the Advisory line of service, focusing on KYC, AML and broader FinCrime investigations to help clients meet regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client due‑diligence (CDD) for a variety of entity types, including banks, trusts, funds and SPVs.
• Verify identity, source of funds and beneficial ownership information.
• Perform initial document checks for completeness and accuracy.
• Research client information using multiple databases and public sources.
• Assess client risk based on business activities, geography and other factors.
• Execute sanction and adverse‑media screening using specialised tools and analyse results.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in KYC, AML or related financial‑crime compliance roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
