Test Lead (Manual Test, US Healthcare & Medicaid/Pharmacy)

About the role

Gainwell is seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive manual testing initiatives for its US healthcare and Medicaid pharmacy solutions. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality releases while protecting member data, as no PHI or PII is accessed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead test planning and execution for complex features and releases.
• Define and apply risk‑based testing strategies.
• Conduct advanced exploratory and edge‑case testing.
• Review requirements and designs to assess testability and flag quality risks.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide the testing team.
• Provide clear reporting on testing progress, outcomes, and quality metrics.

Required profile

• 15+ years of overall experience.
• 5+ years in Medicaid pharmacy operations, MMIS/MES systems, PBM functions, or pharmacy claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of NDC, HCPCS, quantity limits, drug pricing, Medicaid PDL, clinical PA criteria, and DUR requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with test management tools.
• SQL for data validation.
• Hands‑on experience with EDI transactions (837, 835, 278).
