Tech & Digital Lead Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Tech & Digital Lead Cloud Engineer to shape and drive our cloud strategy. The role combines architectural design, operational excellence and cost optimisation across public and private cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the strategic roadmap for cloud architecture, defining standards and selecting vendor solutions in partnership with solution architects and engineering leads.
• Improve cloud product reliability, availability, maintainability and cost‑benefit by building fault‑tolerant tools and robust infrastructure.
• Manage capacity across public and private cloud pools, automating scaling of environments.
• Provide financial input for cloud budgeting, capacity planning and investment forecasting.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions following best practices, including provisioning next‑generation initiatives for private cloud.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in cloud engineering and architecture.
• Proven track record handling production incidents, escalation procedures, post‑mortems and risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of security, performance, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery best practices.

Required skills

• Public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: CloudFormation, ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Network and security fundamentals: BGP, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, security guardrails.
• High‑availability engineering across regions, availability zones and data‑replication clusters.
