Software Engineer II – Java, Angular, React

About the role

Mastercard’s Data Governance & Regulation team is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications that serve both customers and internal users. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment focused on cutting‑edge technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java 11+ micro‑services using Spring Boot.
• Build responsive front‑end components with Angular and React.
• Write automated tests with JBehave and ensure code quality through peer reviews.
• Design and optimise database schemas for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Implement IoC, dependency injection, and SOLID design principles.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration pipelines with Jenkins.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improve system reliability, and drive architectural enhancements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern front‑end frameworks (Angular, React).
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to design reusable frameworks and write clean, maintainable code.
