Site Reliability Engineer II (Monitoring)

About the role

Mastercard’s Enterprise Monitoring team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to advance its Application Performance Monitoring and Digital Experience Monitoring strategy. The role blends strategic project work with day‑to‑day operational support, ensuring reliable, high‑performance services for internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily usage and configuration support for monitoring tools used by internal teams.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate closely with technical leads and engineers to address monitoring requirements.
• Engage with internal customers and management to discuss specific monitoring needs.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to deliver emergency support outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with one or more application performance management tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog).
• Strong familiarity with Linux environments.
• Ability to write or modify basic automation scripts in Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Understanding of distributed application concepts and synthetic end‑user monitoring.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
