Senior Engineer - Warehouse Management

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is expanding its Distribution & Logistics IT platform and needs a Senior Engineer to lead Warehouse Management System (WMS) initiatives across owned distribution centers and third‑party logistics providers. You will design, enhance, and support solutions that improve fulfillment performance, labor efficiency, and operational visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support WMS solutions for owned DCs and 3PL partners.
• Implement labor‑related integrations and analytics using Manhattan LMS and UKG Pro.
• Build operational reporting and analytics with Manhattan SCI and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop integrations between WMS, SAP AFS / S/4HANA, and downstream systems using MuleSoft, REST APIs, and event‑based patterns.
• Work with XML, JSON, and EDI data formats for reliable system integrations.
• Analyze distribution data (orders, waves, labor, throughput, inventory) using Excel, SQL, and visualization tools.
• Collaborate with Distribution Operations, Industrial Engineering, and 3PL partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in system enhancements, releases, production support, and issue resolution while following LS&Co engineering standards and using GitHub.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience with Warehouse Management Systems, specifically Manhattan WMS or Manhattan Active WMS.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL for operational analysis.
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools such as Manhattan SCI, Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations using REST APIs, MuleSoft (preferred), XML, JSON, and EDI.
• Exposure to SAP AFS or S/4HANA integrations is a plus.
