Senior Electrical Design Engineer (MEP)

About the role

Swiggy Instamart is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with MEP experience to lead the design and execution of electrical systems for its warehouses and facilities across India. The role involves creating detailed bill of quantities, drawings and single line diagrams while ensuring strict adherence to Indian standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete electrical infrastructure for warehouses and related facilities.
• Prepare accurate BOQs, detailed drawings and single line diagrams (SLDs) for all electrical installations.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors and contractors to align designs with project requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with IS, IEC and NBC standards.
• Support site execution, provide technical guidance and troubleshoot design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP or electrical design.
• Proven ability to produce BOQs and SLDs.
• Familiarity with Indian electrical codes and standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (or similar design tools).
• Experience with BOQ creation.
• Experience with Single Line Diagram (SLD) creation.
• Knowledge of Indian electrical codes (IS, IEC, NBC).
