Procurement Operations – Indirect Sourcing Lead

About the role

The Indirect Procurement Operations role is responsible for designing and executing the sourcing strategy for Tata Electronics' new semiconductor fab. You will partner with multiple internal functions to ensure the fab’s construction, ramp‑up and steady‑state phases have the right people services, clean‑room support, utilities and other indirect categories in place.

Key responsibilities

• Design the indirect sourcing strategy for fab construction, ramp‑up and steady‑state operations.
• Own categories such as housing, employee transport, food services, clean‑room services, external utilities, travel, security, site IT and general contractor requirements.
• Develop and qualify suppliers to meet operational, compliance and certification standards.
• Lead commercial and contracting activities for both OPEX and CAPEX spend, ensuring alignment with statements of work.
• Act as sourcing partner to HR Admin, AI Digital, security, engineering, fab manufacturing, module and construction teams.
• Recruit, mentor and develop sourcing managers with fab, facilities and technical services expertise.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech from a reputable institution; MBA preferred.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in indirect sourcing, especially in admin, people services and engineering services.
• Familiarity with local regulations and experience in greenfield plant setups or major fab expansions is an advantage.
• High ethical standards, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
