Functional Safety Expert

About the role

We are looking for a Functional Safety Expert to lead safety development for XC‑AS ADAS/AD projects. You will manage functional safety activities, conduct safety analyses, and collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to ensure compliance with ASIL B and higher requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage functional safety processes for ADAS/AD systems, including DFA, FFI and FMEA.
• Set up and maintain the Development Interface Agreement (DIA) and create system safety work‑products for ASIL B+ projects.
• Lead safety concept creation, HARA, FMEDA, and define hardware and software safety requirements.
• Conduct safety assessments, audits, and risk mitigation planning for new projects.
• Interface with OEMs, track safety plans, and support internal stakeholders throughout the safety lifecycle.
• Review design artefacts and derive safety risk and mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree.
• 8‑12 years of experience in functional safety, preferably in automotive ADAS/AD domains.
• Proven track record of handling safety discussions with OEMs and delivering safety documentation.
