DevOps Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Phoeniqs Technologies is seeking a remote DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate sovereign cloud platforms for enterprise clients in finance, healthcare, and government. You will work at the intersection of automation, Kubernetes, GitOps, and containerised infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline build and release processes.
• Install, configure and manage OpenShift clusters across staging and production environments.
• Deploy and manage storage solutions such as OpenShift Data Foundation and Ceph.
• Optimize Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift environments for performance, availability and security.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible and FluxCD.
• Develop Helm charts and Kustomize configurations within a GitOps workflow.
• Implement monitoring and logging with Prometheus and the ELK Stack.
• Manage security integrations including TLS certificates and Keycloak.
• Administer containerised databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and support network, storage and data‑centre integrations.
• Provide direct customer support throughout planning, deployment and operational phases.

Required profile

• Solid experience with modern CI/CD practices.
• Hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Kustomize and OpenShift.
• Experience with GitOps platforms such as FluxCD or ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with storage platforms like OpenShift Data Foundation and Ceph.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience using Terraform and Ansible.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Go or Python.
• Experience managing relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
