Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Scalian is looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join its security team. You will lead operational security activities, manage the Security Operations Centre (SOC), conduct penetration testing, and ensure compliance with security governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and steer the SOC, whether provided externally or in‑house.
• Analyze security alerts, triage incidents, and prioritize corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents using SIEM, logs, endpoints and network data; perform root‑cause analysis and contribute to post‑incident reviews.
• Develop and improve detection rules and SOC processes.
• Plan, scope and follow‑up on external and internal penetration tests.
• Analyse test reports, assess vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, prioritisation and remediation tracking.
• Support governance activities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations or a similar role.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or OSCP are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, TISAX).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
