Clinical Content Specialist – Pharmacy & Drugs

About the role

The Clinical Content Specialist – Pharmacy will develop and validate high‑quality content on Drugs & Biologicals for the US healthcare market. You will ensure clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and relevance to high‑cost therapeutic areas such as chemotherapy and specialty drugs.

Key responsibilities

• Research, interpret and synthesize drug and biologic literature, FDA labels, and medical journals.
• Validate dosage, medical necessity, safety, and compliance for generic and brand drugs.
• Apply US healthcare coding standards (NDC, HCPCS, CPT, ICD, modifiers, revenue codes) to support payment integrity.
• Align content with CMS, Medicaid guidelines, payer policies, and company sub‑policies.
• Extract rule logic from corporate policies and correlate multiple sources to reach conclusions.

Required profile

• Passionate about pharmacy and clinical domains with a strong desire to learn.
• Solid foundation in pharmacy, drugs, biologics, and clinical concepts.
• Demonstrated research experience through theses, case studies, or similar work.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate complex clinical information into clear insights.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in clinical knowledge.

Required skills

• Medical coding (NDC, HCPCS/J‑codes, CPT, ICD, modifiers, revenue codes)
• Knowledge of CMS and Medicaid reimbursement guidelines
• CPC or COC certification (highly preferred)
