Technical Writer – Warehouse Automation / WMS Domain

About the role

Quest Global is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with deep expertise in warehouse automation and supply‑chain systems. You will create, validate, and maintain high‑quality documentation for warehouse execution, fulfillment, and control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain functional specifications, user guides, SOPs, API documentation, configuration documents, integration guides, release notes, troubleshooting manuals, and training material.
• Validate technical content against real warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy for picking, replenishment, inventory movement, robot‑assisted tasks, sortation logic, labeling, and exception handling.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, solution architects, WMS/WES/WCS consultants, QA teams, warehouse operations, and automation engineers.
• Understand end‑to‑end warehouse workflows—including inbound, put‑away, picking, packing, sortation, shipping, replenishment, cycle count, and decanting—to translate them into clear documentation.
• Improve documentation structure, consistency, and usability, making complex processes easily understandable.
• Participate in solution walkthroughs and requirement discussions to capture emerging documentation needs.

Required profile

• Strong domain knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
• Hands‑on experience with pickwall management, robotic picking, conveyor integration, print‑and‑apply, sortation, replenishment, and decant management.
• Proven ability to independently validate operational workflows and identify documentation gaps.
• Excellent written communication skills with a track record of producing enterprise‑level software documentation.
• Ability to simplify complex technical processes into clear, concise, and user‑friendly content.
