Senior IT SOX Auditor

About the role

eBay is looking for a Senior Auditor specialized in IT SOX to join its Global Internal Audit team in Bengaluru. The role is hybrid, requiring on‑site presence at least three days a week, and focuses on providing assurance over internal controls across key business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead walkthroughs and document key controls with IT partners for in‑scope processes.
• Perform testing of key controls, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Review attestation and audit reports (e.g., SOC, Internal Audit) for SOX relevance.
• Collaborate with owners to assess deficiencies and support remediation.
• Identify and monitor process and system changes linked to strategic initiatives.
• Participate in SOX readiness audits for new areas.
• Prepare data‑visualized status reports for senior management, highlighting trends and risks.
• Drive continuous improvement by automating control activities and applying analytics/AI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an IT‑related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SOX compliance, operational or IT audits.
• Analytical, diligent, collaborative with strong ownership.
