Senior Consultant – Software Asset Management (SAM)

About the role

Infosys Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives for global enterprises. You will help clients optimise software spend, maintain compliance, and drive value through end‑to‑end SAM processes and ServiceNow SAM Pro enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage License Entitlement and Effective License Position (ELP) packs, consolidating purchase data, contracts and maintenance information.
• Support publisher audits by gathering evidence, performing compliance analysis, coordinating audit responses and providing true‑up assistance.
• Drive renewal activities through consumption analysis, identifying optimisation opportunities and assembling renewal readiness packs.
• Onboard publishers onto ServiceNow SAM Pro, configuring software models, normalization rules, entitlements, contracts and compliance calculations.
• Align SAM data with discovery and inventory sources, improve data quality and publish dashboards on compliance posture, risk, savings and renewal pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, especially publisher onboarding and operationalisation.
• Proven background in license entitlement preparation, audit support and renewal support.
• Solid understanding of software licensing concepts, including metrics, bundles, SaaS subscriptions and virtual/VDI considerations.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and translating data into compliance outcomes.
