Lead Software Engineer – Enterprise Information Management

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to define and implement an Enterprise Information Management ecosystem across multiple service and legal entities. The role will guide a team delivering data management, information governance and integration solutions that support Mastercard’s global digital payments platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major software engineering projects and ensure delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.
• Design and implement capabilities such as metadata management, point‑to‑point data integration, data quality analytics, API/service integration and data governance platforms.
• Collaborate with data architecture, modeling, business and application teams to define data assets, business glossary terms and data lineage.
• Develop strategic technical plans, architecture proposals and solution definitions for enterprise data inventory initiatives.
• Ensure daily team activities meet SLA requirements and support regional data‑privacy mandates.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex, cross‑functional software projects with long‑term business impact.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data management, information governance and data integration concepts.
• Ability to work with business and technical partners to scope opportunities, assess ROI and manage risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
