Executive – Tower Control – Ports & Terminals

About the role

The Executive – Tower Control will oversee yard operations at a major port terminal, ensuring optimal productivity and reliable service to customers. This role focuses on strategic equipment deployment, bottleneck resolution, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve optimum productivity levels and service reliability.
• Ensure adherence to yard strategy and optimal usage of yard equipment.
• Monitor road queues, identify and resolve yard bottlenecks.
• Reduce idling of operational equipment through effective planning.
• Maintain logs and data for TDR and other operational reports.
• Properly file all tower documents.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and meet business/operational targets.
• Develop and monitor operational reports.
• Ensure safe and correct working practices.
• Deliver timely import and export plans to field staff.
• Support innovation and process improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in yard or terminal operations management.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance and identify inefficiencies.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
