Data Engineer II

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Data Engineer II to join its global team in India. In this role you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evolve data‑driven programs, support compliance initiatives, and deliver analytical insights that help the business meet its strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with team members to support the evolution of a wide array of Mastercard programs.
• Liaise with a global customer base to identify improvement opportunities and understand customer needs.
• Assist in ensuring customer compliance with Mastercard standards and manage compliance cases.
• Utilise analytic tools to facilitate compliance, investigative, and reporting initiatives.
• Perform project‑management duties, including documenting processes, developing timelines, and supporting risk mitigation for third‑party relationships.
• Communicate action plans to stakeholders to address vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Educate internal and external customers on program rules, procedures, and best practices.
• Conduct desktop research to identify regional or global trends and develop performance metrics.
• Support ad‑hoc requests, special projects, and cross‑functional initiatives as needed.
