Aviation Safety Trainer – Ground Operations

About the role

The Aviation Safety Trainer will deliver comprehensive safety training to airport ground‑operations staff, ensuring compliance with DGCA and IATA standards. The role focuses on creating a secure apron environment and supporting safe terminal and cargo activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and update training modules on Safety Management Systems, ramp safety, warehouse and workshop safety, emergency procedures and human factors.
• Conduct emergency response instruction covering fire‑fighting, spill containment and evacuation for ramp, terminal and cargo operations.
• Develop and maintain training curricula, manuals and supporting documents aligned with new aviation regulations and industry trends.
• Perform random audits and competency evaluations to verify adherence to DGCA requirements and prepare for airline or regulatory audits.
• Train staff on hazard identification, risk assessment using risk matrices, and interpretation of safety performance indicators.
• Maintain accurate training records in line with company and regulatory obligations.
• Support additional safety and operational initiatives as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum one year as a Safety Manager with a “Train the Trainer” certification, or five years of operational experience in aviation.
• Experience with Safety Management System implementation and DGCA CAR Section 1 compliance.
• Strong knowledge of airside safety regulations, policies and procedures.
