Assistant Manager - Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Risk Containment Unit (RCU) at Bajaj Finance is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily fraud monitoring, investigation and reporting. You will work closely with senior management and field teams to minimise fraud exposure and protect portfolio health.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse suspect transactions and produce timely reports for senior management.
• Investigate fraud and dispute cases, perform root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Track direct fraud trends and implement strategies to limit risk.
• Own end‑to‑end RCU processes, ensuring case closure within defined TAT and high‑quality investigation reports.
• Coordinate with field RCU managers, support investigations and monitor field visits.
• Drive continuous improvement of RCU processes and automation projects.
• Maintain error‑free dashboards and propose credit‑policy changes where needed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in fraud monitoring or risk management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver accurate reports.
• Excellent coordination skills to liaise with field teams, risk, product and sales functions.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and technology adoption.
