Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting & Compliance will join Tata Communications’ financial reporting and compliance team. The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial statements, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly profit & loss accounts and variance analysis for management.
• Clear open items in General Ledger accounts in SAP to keep books clean.
• Perform accrual, payroll, and prepaid accounting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and minimize open line items.
• Review and reconcile inter‑company transactions, issue debit notes, and settle balances.
• Conduct foreign exchange revaluation and analyse FX gains/losses.
• Liaise with statutory auditors to ensure timely audit closure.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and support internal and external audits.
• Assist with income tax and transfer pricing return filings.
• Provide data for regional surveys and quarterly/monthly financial reviews.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• 0–2 years of experience in finance, preferably in a controller or reporting function.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SAP exposure.
• Familiarity with finance and statistical analysis software.
• Knowledge of taxation, treasury and other finance domains.
