Program Manager, Environmental Health and Safety (Data Centers)

About the role

Google is seeking a Program Manager to lead Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives for its data center portfolio. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, translate technical EHS risks into executive insights, and ensure compliance with India’s regulations while supporting mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex technical EHS risks into executive‑level insight for business stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and oversee high‑risk activities such as LOTO, electrical work (arc flash), hot work, work at heights, and confined spaces.
• Lead root cause analysis for incidents and near‑misses, implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate progress across global teams.
• Travel up to 50% of the time and be onsite full‑time as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of program or project management experience.
• Experience with environmental regulations, safety management, and EHS compliance systems.
• Preferred experience managing cross‑functional projects in mission‑critical environments (data centers, construction, manufacturing, semiconductor, etc.).
• Knowledge of India EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong investigative, problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, and people‑management skills.
