Nondestructive Testing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Nondestructive Testing Engineer to join our engineering team in Belagavi, India. The role focuses on developing and executing immersion ultrasonic inspection plans for forged aerospace components, supporting both our Indian subsidiary and global Aubert & Duval sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define and program scan plans for immersion ultrasonic inspection of forged parts.
• Perform simulation studies to verify inspection coverage of complete part geometry.
• Maintain close interaction with Aubert & Duval sites in France and India to validate scan plans.
• Propose improvements to inspection methodology and conduct gap analysis on NDT specifications.
• Stay updated on emerging NDT trends, technologies and best practices.
• Support research activities related to NDT techniques within the group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering or Physics; Master’s in NDT preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an NDT/Evaluation engineer in ultrasonic inspection of forgings, castings, structural parts, composites, pipes or tanks.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
• ASNT/PCN/NAS410/ISO9712 Level 2 certification in UT; Level 3 certification in UT/PT/MT is advantageous.

Required skills

• Immersion ultrasonic inspection and scan‑plan programming.
• Simulation using CIVA software.
• Knowledge of PAUT and TOFD techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD.
• UT Level 2 certification (ASNT/PCN/NAS410/ISO9712); Level 3 UT/PT/MT certification preferred.
