Travel & Expense Auditor – Investigations

About the role

As a Travel & Expense (T&E) Auditor within Koch Capabilities India, you will strengthen financial governance by reviewing employee expense submissions, identifying exceptions, and conducting structured investigative reviews. You will work closely with finance, compliance, and business operations to ensure policy alignment and risk mitigation across global travel and expense activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed audits of travel and expense reports to verify accuracy and consistent application of internal T&E policies.
• Identify exceptions, patterns, and anomalies using data‑driven analysis.
• Perform evidence‑based investigative reviews and prepare concise audit summaries.
• Maintain thorough documentation and high‑quality audit workpapers.
• Analyze T&E data to spot trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for control enhancements.
• Support the creation or refinement of audit exception rules and recommendations.
• Engage professionally with employees and managers to clarify discrepancies.
• Escalate high‑risk observations promptly according to established protocols.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in audit, compliance review, risk assessment, or investigative analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect exceptions, trends, and anomalies.
• High professional integrity, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare clear audit documentation and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience working with corporate processes, policies, or internal controls.

Required skills

• Experience with Concur or similar travel & expense systems.
