Team Leader – Fungicide Research

About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader for our Fungicide Chemistry group at our Innovation Campus in Navi Mumbai. You will guide the discovery and development of novel crop‑protection active ingredients that meet global market demands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an organic synthesis laboratory team and manage day‑to‑day operations.
• Design, synthesize, and evaluate new fungicide active ingredients.
• Analyze biological activity and apply structure‑activity relationships (SAR) to generate new designs.
• Drive multiparameter optimization using medicinal‑chemistry concepts at the fungus‑plant interface.
• Collaborate across chemistry, modeling, biology, agronomy, regulatory and IP domains.
• Stay current with modern organic synthesis, drug‑discovery techniques, and competitor activities.
• Network with academic institutions, scientific partners, and technology providers.

Required profile

• PhD in chemistry, medicinal chemistry or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of organic chemical synthesis.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, international team.
