Team Lead & Chief Construction Manager

About the role

Assystem STUP is seeking a seasoned professional to lead and manage the construction of schools and Industrial Training Institutes across multiple sites in India. The role combines team leadership with hands‑on construction oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction planning, scheduling and monitoring tools.
• Supervise site activities, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
• Implement quality assurance procedures and technical compliance checks.
• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS) standards.
• Prepare and submit regular progress, quality and audit reports (MPR, QPR, APR, site inspections).
• Manage contract administration, claims, and variation processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Master’s in Construction or Project Management is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of construction supervision experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
• Proven track record in institutional building projects, preferably schools, colleges or ITIs.
• Experience with externally funded projects (ADB, World Bank, JICA) is highly desirable.
• Candidate must be 55 years of age or younger.
