Software Engineer – HR Employee Experience

About the role

Join Microsoft’s HR Employee Experience Engineering team as a Software Engineer. You will help build and continuously improve critical internal products that empower Microsoft employees to work smarter, faster, and more securely. The role focuses on embedding AI‑driven automation and predictive analytics into everyday tools.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, privacy/security experts, and technical leads to gather and refine feature requirements.
• Review and test code for quality, coverage, diagnosability, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
• Explore design alternatives, evaluate trade‑offs, and implement production‑ready code with minimal supervision.
• Apply AI tools and best‑practice development processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Incorporate security best practices, model "security as code," and enforce security hardening standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong technical expertise combined with business acumen.

Required skills

• Experience with AI‑enabled development tools and large language model (LLM) assistants.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles and security‑by‑design practices.
